Poudre girls basketball ran into a number of difficulties during the 2013-14 season -- including close losses and injuries. But things turned around at the winter break, and the Impalas are now in their first final four since 1978.
Elias Tiedgen and Zach Pirog each had 15 points as No. 6 ThunderRidge beat No. 11 Poudre 52-26 on Wednesday night to open the Class 5A boys basketball tournament.
