Everly-Montgomery Field may be a district stadium for all the sports hosted there, but whenever the Longmont Trojans step on the artificial grass they cannot help but get the sense it's theirs to defend.
Over an eight-day span in September of 2013, a slow-moving storm dumped more than 17 inches of rain on Boulder County, resulting in a flood that devastated Longmont and Lyons, leaving hundreds of millions of dollars of damage in it's wake.
Five new teams have hopped into this week's volleyball rankings: Longmont (4A), Coal Ridge (3A), Union Colony (2A), Akron (2A) and Flagler/Hi-Plains (1A).
