There were plenty of changes as the first boys basketball rankings of the regular season were released. Included: Lewis-Palmer is now the new No. 1 team in Class 4A.
The 2017-18 preseason boys basketball rankings are here. No. 1 teams to start the season include: Rock Canyon (5A), Golden (4A), Sterling (3A), Sedgwick County (2A) and Holly (1A).
The 2017 all-state volleyball teams are led by players of the year Keeley Davis of Rock Canyon, MacKenzie Fidelak of Niwot, Chelsey Lockey of Eaton, Sarah Stevelinck of Lyons, and Tess Hornung of Kit Carson.
To start the volleyball season, Mountain Vista handed Cherry Creek one of its two losses on the year. To start the state tournament, the Bruins returned the favor.
