Chaparral rode a wave of momentum Saturday to win the Class 5A District 3 baseball title and a berth into the eight-team double-elimination state tournament next week.
The only guarantee Friday night at the North Area Athletic Complex was that a Jeffco squad would be advancing into the quarterfinals of the Class 5A girls soccer state tournament.
