The state track and field championships have been postponed due to the storm that blew in overnight, and left snow on the infield and track at Jeffco Stadium.
As weather forecasts continue to worsen, the track and field games committee is set to meet early Thursday morning to make a decision on the schedule for the state meet.
The state track and field meet cannot change its schedule in advance of the the event on Thursday, and, although poor weather is predicted, has no option but to move ahead as planned.
This month's edition features the conclusion of the state basketball tournament, along with early spring sports action in girls soccer, boys lacrosse and track.
