Jack Thorne just finished his junior year at Berthoud. He is an all-state swimmer who competes for nearby Thompson Valley (Berthoud doesn't field a team). Monday, Thorne came out as gay.
How fitting. Kyle Freeland, a 2011 graduate of Thomas Jefferson, was selected by the hometown Colorado Rockies in the first round of the MLB Draft on Thursday.
