At its second of two Colorado High Activities Association Legislative Council Meeting Thursday, April 26, the CHSAA’s legislative body made several significant and positive changes to its bylaws.
Several media members have asked if CHSAA will weigh in on the playing of co-curricular events because of planned teacher actions that may lead to cancelled school days this week.
For 57 years, from 1948 until 2005, Frank Palmeri was the "voice" of high school sports in Colorado. Palmeri passed away over the weekend at age 92. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Bert Borgmann has a background in high school and collegiate sports administration. A graduate of Broomfield and CSU, Borgmann worked on the athletic staffs at CSU and UNC before joining CHSAA. While at CHSAA, Borgmann has administered baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, gymnastics, soccer, softball, music, media relations, corporate partnerships and the CHSAA Hall of Fame. Active with the National Federation of the State High School Association, he has served on five committees recently concluding terms on the national baseball and softball rules committees. He also serves on the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
