PARKER — Jordan Smith had a home run and three RBIs as No. 10 Chaparral softball topped Ponderosa 10-6 in a Class 5A/4A matchup.
Sara Breckbill and Emily Moore each added two hits for the Wolverines, who scored all 10 runs in the first two innings. Shannon Bass allowed just one hit in 3 1/3 innings to get the win in the circle.
Ponderosa’s Hannah Smith and Kendall Boyum each hit home runs. Freshman Julia Qualteri pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings in relief for the Mustangs.
