Skyline and Longmont have new entires in the football record book after their high-powered offenses met on Friday night.
The two teams combined to score 50 points in the second half of their game, which Skyline won 51-38.
With statistics now entered on MaxPreps, three marks found their way into the football record book:
- Skyline’s offense amassed 775 yards of total offense, which is the eighth-most in state history.
- Longmont’s offense had 507 yards of total offense. Combined with Skyline’s total, the two teams had 1,282 yards of total offense, which ranks ninth in state history.
- Longmont quarterback Keegan Patterson completed 41 passes, which is tied for the second most in state history.
- Longmont wide received Caleb Johnson caught 18 of those passes, which is the fourth-most in state history.
There were a number of further standout individual performances, some of which fell just shy of making the record book:
- Skyline’s Grayden Bridwell rushed for 384 yards on 34 carries, including a long run of 80 yards.
- Skyline’s Silva also had 149 yards rushing, giving him 388 yards of total offense. He had six total touchdowns.
- Longmont’s Patterson threw for 490 yards, including four touchdowns. His 1,191 yards lead the state. He also had 17 yards rushing, giving him 507 yards of total offense.
- Longmont’s Johnson now has 496 yards receiving, which lead the state.
