ARVADA — No. 2 Broomfield took down No. 5 Ralston Valley, 66-54, in a 5A top-5 battle Monday night.
Broomfield jumped out to a 26-10 lead in the first quarter, and pushed that lead to 44-24 by the end of the half.
The Eagles have now won 14 games in a row, while Ralston’s streak of 10 straight wins was broken.
Broomfield senior Brenna Chase led all scorers after dumping in 24 points. Senior Brenna Fankell was close behind, adding 17 points. Sophomore Sydney Prey led the way for Ralston Valley, scoring 14 points on 5 of 11 shooting.
