BROOMFIELD — Broomfield boys soccer responded in a big way to its top-5 matchup with Fort Collins on Thursday.
The Eagles, ranked No. 5 in Class 5A, beat the top-ranked Lambkins 5-1. All five of their goals came in the second half.
And each of the five were scored by different players: Tristan Austin, Nathan Dishongh, Michael Georgiton, Sawyer Giles and Michael Mooney all tallied goals for Broomfield.
Jose Ogaz made six saves in net for the Eagles.
Broomfield is now 10-2-0 this season, while Fort Collins (9-1-1) suffered its first loss of the season.
