No. 2 Fleming volleyball knocked off No. 7 Briggsdale with a sweep. The Wildcats beat Briggsdale 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.
The 1A District 4/North Central league matchup gave Fleming sole possession of first place in the league.
Kimberlyn Krise and Skyla Miller each had seven kills and four blocks for the Falcons. Ailaina Suppes added 15 assists in support, but Briggsdale couldn’t find a way to outlast Fleming in a set.
Fleming has lost just three sets all year and has a 9-1 record to show for it. The team’s only loss came in tournament play against Class 3A Bishop Machebeuf, who received votes in the latest CHSAANow.com volleyball rankings.
