Pine Creek volleyball coach Amy Shoemaker resigned for personal reasons Sunday, athletic director Eric Hulen confirmed to CHSAANow.com.
Shelley Lockwood and Paul Waring will immediately take over as co-coaches of the varsity team.
“We are grateful for Amy’s time, effort, and dedication to the program and wish her nothing but the best in the future,” Hulen said in a statement. “Now we must ensure a seamless transition for our program so the players can continue competing at a high level. We are confident Shelley and Paul’s leadership will keep the program striving for excellence for the remainder of this season.”
Both Lockwood and Waring have previously held the head coach position for the Eagles and are teachers at the high school.
Pine Creek is currently 9-5 and 1-0 in Colorado Springs Metro League play.
