DENVER — No. 8 Denver East hockey scored three second-period goals to take a 3-1 lead, then held on for a 4-2 win over No. 5 Mountain Vista on Monday.
Alex Netraba scored two of those second-period goals. Martins Vilmaris and Andrew Butterfield had the other goals for the Angels. Kiryl Aleinkau and Max Bublitz each had two assists.
East goalie Nolan McIntosh had 17 saves for his league-leading 13th win of the season.
Tanner Gillis and Kaden Stewart scored for Mountain Vista.
