Monarch named Jennifer Dixon its next volleyball coach on Thursday morning.
Dixon, who spent four seasons as the coach at Boulder through 2009, was also the head coach at a school in Chicago for two years. She is currently a PE teacher at Monarch.
Dixon replaces Katherine Erickson, who led Monarch for the past three seasons. The Coyotes are 26-45 since the 2013 season.
Monarch went 8-15 in 2015. The Coyotes advanced to the regional round in 2014, but lost both matches.
They’ll return a considerable amount of talent in 2016, as Sophie Wingert (who will be a senior) and Rachel Arrotta (who will be a junior) will be back. Both had more than 100 kills last season. Wingert also led the team in blocks.
Jenny Kelly, the team’s libero, will also be a senior, as will Addison Wasik, who had 189 digs in 2015.
