5A football alignment proposal for 2016 and 2017 seasons

The waterfall alignment proposed to be used by Class 5A football for the 2016 and 2017 seasons are below.

This alignment concept is explained in detail in this story. Teams are ranked based upon their two-year average RPI from the 2014 and 2015 seasons. (Find complete RPI data here.) They are then snaked into seven six-team conferences.

This alignment, which is being forwarded by the football committee, needs to be approved at the Legislative Council in January 2016. Note that it has been updated at 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 13.

This alignment is subject to corrections and needs to be voted on by the football committee at their meeting in December.
