KREMMLING — No. 10 Dove Creek beat No. 7 West Grand in the first round of the 8-man football playoffs on Saturday.
West Grand was playing its first home game since quarterback JD Guess was killed in a car accident, and the community came out in full force wearing purple shirts that honored the junior. Last week, West Grand football coach Chris Brown tied the state record with 306 career wins in an emotional game for the team.
