Malik Fletcher, who led Denver South boys basketball to a very successful run over the past six seasons, has stepped down as the school’s head coach, according to athletic director Adam Kelsey.
Fletcher’s teams were 90-61 since 2013-14, and made two appearances in the Great 8 — including a trip to the Class 4A title game in 2014.
Kelsey said South’s search for a new coach would begin immediately. The Rebels, who now play in 5A, finished 7-16 this season.
