The 2017 all-state football teams will be unveiled on Thursday.
Coaches have been voting on the teams since last Friday. All head coaches should have received the ballot in their email; if not, they should email rcasey@chsaa.org immediately for a ballot.
Voting ends at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
Here’s the process for how the teams are created:
- Every first-team all-league player is placed on the all-state ballot.
- Coaches cast their votes using that ballot.
- The players who receive the most votes are placed on the first team. Those who receive the next-highest number of votes are placed on the second team, and so on.
- Players and coaches of the year are selected by a specific vote.
The all-state teams should be released around noon on Thursday. Find every other fall all-state team on this page.
