LAFAYETTE — The Class 3A boys golf state tournament at Indian Peaks Golf Course has been changed to a one-day format due an unplayable course.

There was a meeting at 9 a.m. to determine if the course was playable for Monday’s scheduled first round, and it was determined that Indian Peaks is not playable due to standing water on the course.

“We’re going to have a one-round championship tomorrow with the anticipation that the weather will be better tomorrow, and the course will be in better shape,” said CHSAA associate commissioner Tom Robinson, who oversees golf.

On Tuesday, the same pairings and tee times from Monday will be used.

The course at Indian Peaks needs 12 hours of no rain to drain completely.

4A boys golf, held at Raccoon Creek in Littleton, went off as scheduled.

Likewise, the 5A tournament held at CommonGround in Aurora, is on schedule.

Live results from today’s state tournaments are available here, or on the CHSAA Golf app.
