No. 6 Highlands Ranch volleyball handed top-ranked Castle View its first in-state loss this season on Tuesday.
After losing the first set, the Falcons secured three straight wins to take the match 25-27, 25-23, 26-24, 25-23.
Kate Menz had 18 kills, and Lauren Lowry had 44 assists for Castle View.
Highlands Ranch is now 11-1 and has dropped only six sets all year.
University sweeps Resurrection Christian in matchup of top 3A teams

No. 2 University volleyball handled No. 3 Resurrection Christian on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs started the match with a decisive 25-10 win, then cruised to 25-17 and 25-13 wins to complete the sweep.
University is now on an eight-game winning streak.
The team is led by Aracely Hernandez and Alexsei Vierya. Hernandez has 127 kills, while Vierya has 316 assists.
