AURORA — Top-ranked Eaglecrest and Grandview softball had a slugfest during their Class 5A game, which Eaglecrest won 21-9 on Tuesday.
The two teams combined to hit 10 home runs — six from Eaglecrest and four from Grandview. Eaglecrest senior Kailey Wilson hit three homers as part of a 4-for-4 game that included seven RBIs.
Junior Rachel Sabourin also went deep twice. She was 4-for-5 with five RBIs.
Mackenzie Hochstetler also homered for Eaglecrest, and drove four runs in.
Grandview got home runs from Jacqueline Ley, Sophia Herrera, Morgan Quimby and Amy Vallejos.
