Photos: Montrose baseball knocks off No. 8 Fruita Monument

MONTROSE — Jayden Lopez struck out seven, including the final out, as Montrose baseball upset Fruita Monument on Friday.

Lopez pitched a complete game, allowing just two runs, as his Class 4A squad took out 5A’s No. 8 team.

Montrose scored two runs in the first, two in the second, and then held on to win. Dylan James went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
