A new era will begin this winter for Bear Creek boys basketball
Bears athletic director, Jeffrey Lueders, confirmed to CHSAANow.com Monday that David Berghoefer has resigned as head coach to take a job in San Diego.
As a result, Lueders has turned to former D’Evelyn assistant, Will Gosch, to lead the team.
The Bears struggled in the 2015-16 season, going 8-18 (4-10 Class 5A Jeffco) with their season ending with a loss to the Far Northeast Warriors in the 5A state tournament.
Gosch will not have to start with scratch as the team will return eight players who will be seniors.
