An overnight snowstorm affecting much of the state on Tuesday has caused a number of schools and school districts to cancel classes.
As a result, a majority of the games, meets and tournaments scheduled for Tuesday have been postponed, and many practices are also affected. The CHSAA office is also closed.
“We advise fans and parents to check with their schools before attending an event today to be sure it has not been postponed,” said CHSAA commissioner Paul Angelico.
There is no bylaw that prohibits teams from competing on days their school is closed, but many districts have a policy of cancelling after-school activities on days that classes are cancelled.
