HENDERSON — Brighton softball won its seventh game in a row with a 2-1 win over Prairie View in eight innings on Thursday.
The win clinched the East Metro Conference championship for Brighton, who went 9-0-0 in league play.
The Bulldogs, who beat No. 1 Ralston Valley on Wednesday, are now 15-3 and ranked No. 8.
The loss snapped an 11-game winning streak for Prairie View.
In Thursday’s win, Audrey Kobi went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Brighton. Melissa Rahrich pitched all eight innings, and allowed just four hits. She struck out 15 and walked two.
