BROOMFIELD — No. 6 Holy Family got some resistance from No. 7 Berthoud early, but ultimately pulled away for an easy 56-14 victory on Friday night.

Holy Family quarterback Chris Helbig tossed 500 yards and 5 touchdowns to lead his team to the top-ten Northern League win. Michael Zeman rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown, while also hauling in five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. Joe Golter and Bryce Buderus both had 100-yard games, with Golter snagging a TD and Buderus grabbing two.

The Tigers 5-1 (3-0 3A Northern League) handed Berthoud 5-1 (2-1) their first loss of the season. Berthoud had been dominate, winning their five games by an average of 28.8 points. The Spartans had also only allowed 21 points all season coming into the game against the high-powered Holy Family offense.
